Creativity test

Creativity test

Today we attempted the creativity test; it allowed us to see what skills we innately had in terms of creativity. Shockingly, my highest one was boldness, and my lowest was perception, a skill which has improved but not my best skill over time.

After taking the test, Eloise and I tried doing the test as each other to see if our perceptions of each other were the same as our perceptions of ourselves. After taking the test as Eloise, it glaringly showed my perception of her and my "boldness"! However, her more subdued and observant nature meant that her score was the same as mine when she pretended to be me.

On the left, you see me as Eloise- it's clear that I have a more "yes" "no" mentality toward Eloise's personality traits rather than a more whimsical "maybe" that others may have.

On the right, you can see Eloise's results as me, showing she sees most of the skills I also see within myself. To me, this shows she's someone who will really spend the time evaluating things and not rushing through or being very black and white.

I feel as though, as a designer, it's important to work with people with a range of ideas and perspectives, one of which can be the creativity test. Although I feel a lot of the questions were up for interpretation which made answering them slightly more complex, it helped me see how others' skills can complement mine to work well as a team.
