Modelling Technique

 

During this week's lecture, we attempted a technique which used 2 words to create a model using cartridge paper. Although, at first, I was pretty sceptical of this technique, I felt as though as we did it more, I got more confident in creating "random" models that I could, in theory, use for a design.

It isn't necessarily a technique I'd use again, but it's good exercise. If I ever find it challenging to create, it can help me find some starting point.

                    

As part of the assignment, I am using the far right model as a photoshopable image to shop the scale of the model.

    I like the lean on the third model and how you can't really work out how it's supported :)

  For St Aidans our brief has been to research the Seven Sacred Spaces. Each space has a different meaning, we need to make a garden based around these 7 spaces. After researching different bible verses there was one which really stood out to me about lilies which effectively said if god can take care of lilies he will take care of you. Budget for Tatton

  A budget was created in order to show how we would spend the £750 if we were to be chosen for Tatton Park. The money would be stretched relatively thin and therefore we would probably need additional funding, especially for the plants which we will be using.

Final zoning Diagram

  I have created a functional diagram for the site, this will allow for me to create a more detailed masterplan. I have sectioned each area around a central point, which will be a meeting point for users. The site will have many nods to butterflies, which is my concept. The play areas will be really colourful and hopefully give some more character to the site.
