Kathryn Gustafson

Kathryn Gustafson is a Landscape Architect who primarily focuses on the four seasons and elements, using the form of terrain to do this. In the project below at Whistler Square, the site's goal was to integrate humans and nature to create a seamless, useable and aesthetically pleasing environment. I like how the soft landscape within the site complements the area, and nothing within the site feels overwhelming. I find her work to be quite cold looking due to the amount of greyness within the design; however, when this is complimented by the greenery within the area, it can cause a nice effect.
